Notification Troubleshooter

If you're not receiving email notifications, please follow these steps to diagnose the issue:

  1. Check your Spam/Junk folder: Sometimes legitimate emails can be miscategorized. Please check your spam folder for emails from "Qarvis".
  2. Send a Test Email: Use one of the "Notification System Tests" tools below. If you receive the test email, it confirms the underlying email system is working correctly.
  3. Check Your Profile Settings:

    Your account must be configured to receive new message notifications.

    Ensure the "New Messages" switch is turned ON in the "Email Notifications" section.

  4. Check Conversation Mute Status:

    Individual conversations can be muted, which stops notifications for that specific thread.

    Select the conversation, click the '...' menu in the top right, and ensure it says "Mute Notifications" (which means it is currently UNMUTED).

Notification System Tests

Vehicle Update Email

Tests the email sent for price drops or status changes on a user's saved/viewed vehicle.

Daily Recommendations Email

Tests the daily email with AI-powered vehicle suggestions. Sends 3 sample listings.

Unread Message Reminder

Tests the reminder email sent for messages that have been unread for a period of time.

Active Notification Systems:
  • New Message Notifications: Users get instant email alerts when they receive messages
  • Price Drop Alerts: Users are notified when saved/viewed vehicles have price changes
  • Status Change Alerts: Users get notified when vehicles are sold or status changes
  • Unread Message Reminders: Follow-up emails for unread messages every 48 hours
  • Daily Recommendations: AI-powered daily vehicle suggestions based on user behavior

Pro Tip: All notification functions are scheduled to run automatically. The system will handle user preferences and prevent spam by respecting mute settings.
